| Water Education Fest | Elect. 34 & 47 | Ach. 7a & 7e | Elec. 15 | Water Education Fest (used to be Blue Thumb Day!) is held at Fiesta Gardens and specifically focused toward the 5th and 6th graders. Since 9/11, Water Treatment plant tours cannot be a part of our events and in addition several years of budget cuts have created a need to really specifically focus on our education programs Water In Our World and Down the Drain. This event is really a third leg of the education program where the kids can do hands-on experiments underscoring the idea of environmental stewardship. If you are interested, the event will be on April 28 and April 29, 2005 and I would love to invite you to come out and volunteer for a couple of hours if you are interested. Please don't hesitate to call me at 972-0147 or contact me if you have any questions or need any further information. If you want to forward your mailing address I will send you some information as well. Thanks again, Suzanne Gilchrist |
